Chevy Cargo Van Outfitting with Shelving and Secure Storage
A cargo van works better when every tool and part has a place. This Chevy cargo van outfitting project at LINE-X of Corona brings together shelving, locking cabinets, drawers and small-parts bins in a layout that keeps the center aisle open. The photos show the finished storage setup from both rear doors, along with a look at the installation work.
Storage on both sides, room down the middle
The storage units follow the sides of the cargo area and fit around the wheel wells. That arrangement makes use of wall space while leaving a clear path from the rear doors to the cab partition. Open shelves provide room for equipment that needs to be easy to load and reach, while divided upper compartments help separate smaller items.
Locking cabinets, drawers and parts bins
On the driver side, locking cabinet doors provide enclosed storage for tools and supplies. Below them, drawers and bright yellow bins create separate places for hardware and small components. Across the aisle, additional drawers and open shelves offer a different mix of storage, with hooks on the end panel for hanging items.

A partition between the cab and cargo area
A black partition separates the seating area from the equipment space. Its perforated upper panels allow a view through to the cab. Together with the side-mounted storage, it gives the cargo area a defined layout without filling the center floor with cabinets.
Outfitting around the workday
The installation photo shows a technician working inside the van alongside the cabinet assembly. A practical upfit starts with the tools you carry, the parts you use most often and the equipment you need to load through the doors. Combining enclosed storage with open shelving gives a service crew several ways to organize that equipment. Browse our work gallery for more completed installations.
